New York, NY (November 7, 2007)—Seyfarth Shaw LLP, one of America’s leading full service law firms, today announced the induction of Robert Nobile, Chair of the firm’s Workplace Counseling & Compliance Solutions Practice Group, to the prestigious College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, Inc. The Governors of the College, a professional association that honors the leading lawyers nationwide in the practice of labor and employment law, will install Nobile as a Fellow of the College on Saturday, November 10 at the annual Installation of Fellows dinner held this year in Philadelphia.

“I am honored to be recognized by such an august group of colleagues dedicated to the practice of exemplary labor and employment law,” Nobile said. “I look forward to contributing to the furthering of the College’s mission to lead the development of best practices in our field.”

The Fellows of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers are dedicated to the study and enhancement of professional ethics in the practice of labor and employment law and to the improvement of the delivery and quality of labor and employment legal services. To become a fellow, the College has a rigorous nomination process, requiring that attorneys have been in the field of labor and employment law for at least 20 years. The candidates, selected by invitation only, must also demonstrate to their peers, the bar, bench and public through long performance related to the practice of labor and employment law that they represent: the highest professional qualifications and ethical standards; the highest level of character, integrity, professional expertise and leadership; a commitment to fostering and furthering the objectives of the College; sustained, exceptionally high-quality services to clients, bar, bench and public; and significant evidence of scholarship, teaching, lecturing and/or published writings on labor and employment law.

In his letter to Nobile, Joel C. Glanstein, President of the College, said, “Election as a Fellow represents recognition by your colleagues that you have distinguished yourself as an outstanding professional who has made a sustained contribution to our field and that you meet the standards of integrity, professionalism, and character. I congratulate you on your election and look forward to your participation in the activities of the College.”

“Bob is a consummate legal practitioner and first-rate gentleman; he is the embodiment of the qualities of a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers,” said Jeremy P. Sherman, chair of Seyfarth Shaw’s national Labor and Employment practice. “His election to the College is an example of our firm’s high personal and professional standards and commitment to the practice of sophisticated labor and employment law on behalf of our clients.”
