Seyfarth is proud to sponsor and participate in the American Bar Association's 2026 National Managed Care Institute, taking place November 12-13, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee. As the ABA Health Law Section's premier annual symposium for the managed care industry, the conference brings together leading health care attorneys, in-house counsel, compliance professionals, regulators, and industry stakeholders to discuss the legal, regulatory, and business issues shaping the future of managed care.

The program will explore a wide range of issues affecting the industry, including payors, providers, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), value-based care and reimbursement models, medical service organizations, government programs, and emerging regulatory and litigation developments.

On Thursday, November 12, Seyfarth partner and Health Care Steering Committee member Amanda Genovese will co-present "The First 60 Days After Service of an Out-of-Network Reimbursement Dispute Complaint: Evaluating Defensive Strategies." The session will examine key early-stage defense considerations, including removal strategies, recent ERISA preemption developments, and the evaluation of plan documents for dispositive motions. Panelists will also discuss threshold defenses, such as standing, pleading deficiencies, contractual limitations, and administrative exhaustion requirements, providing attendees with practical guidance for navigating these complex and evolving disputes.
