More About Amanda

Amanda is known for representing several of the nation’s largest companies in their most complex disputes. She has earned a reputation for delivering exceptional results while building strong, trusted relationships with legal and executive teams.

Amanda was named a “Rising Star” at the 2022 New York Legal Awards by the New York Law Journal (ALM). In 2025, The Legal 500 (Legalese Ltd.) noted that “Amanda Genovese is distinguished by her strong industry and legal knowledge, and exceptional client service.” As co-chair of Seyfarth’s New York Litigation team, Amanda plays a role in shaping the firm’s strategic, client-focused approach to litigation.

Amanda is a managed care litigator and a go-to outside counsel for health care and ERISA matters. She represents insurers, plan administrators, third-party administrators, HMOs, employers, and managed care organizations. Amanda represents clients in high-stakes reimbursement and network agreement litigation, including securing dismissals and negotiating strategic settlements. In addition to her litigation practice, Amanda advises clients on investigations and compliance matters involving network contracting, improper billing and coding, fraud and abuse laws, mental health parity laws, and government health care programs.

Outside of her managed care practice, Amanda is an experienced commercial litigator engaged by financial institutions and corporations in matters involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, business torts, consumer liability, and RICO claims.

Amanda understands what clients need—clear advice, timely updates, and a dedicated advocate in their corner—and she delivers.
