Seyfarth’s Ephraim Pierre Named to Legal Outreach’s Advisory Board

Ephraim Pierre, partner in Seyfarth’s Labor and Employment department in New York, was named to the Advisory Board of Legal Outreach, Inc.

The Legal Outreach educational program serves low-income, mostly minority, and/or first generation urban youth from underserved neighborhoods in New York City. Their law-based curriculum focuses on providing their students with the necessary tools to achieve at a high academic level and gain the confidence and social skills to pursue their professional goals. Their goal is to provide social and academic support to their students so they can matriculate to competitive colleges and pursue their career interests. Through support and motivation, their students can fulfill a larger goal to diversify professional fields and foster the next generation of diverse leadership. You can learn more here.

Since 2016, Seyfarth has partnered with Legal Outreach to help carry out its mission by offering a week-long summer internship for rising high school sophomores, as well as through financial support of its other educational programs. Most recently, Seyfarth has provided pro bono review of Legal Outreach’s employment manual.

In addition to being an active member of Seyfarth's Diversity and Inclusion Action Team, Pierre serves as an attorney-mentor with Legal Outreach. In 2017, he was awarded Seyfarth's "Inspirational Leadership Award" in recognition of his commitment to Legal Outreach, and for inspiring others to make a difference in the community.
