SEATTLE -- (August 4, 2020) -- Seyfarth announced today the arrival of Government Contracts partner Adam Lasky, who will join as the first member of the Litigation department in the firm’s new Seattle office. Lasky joins Seyfarth from the Seattle office of Oles Morrison, where he served as chair of its Government Contracts practice group.

Lasky brings a wealth of government contracts experience and credentials, and was recently named to the prestigious governing council of the ABA Section of Public Contract Law, and is also a co-chair of the Section's Small Business & Other Socioeconomic Programs committee.

Lasky’s practice focuses on all aspects of government contracting, with an emphasis on bid protests, small business regulatory compliance issues, strategic alliances (joint ventures, teaming agreements and subcontracts), and construction contracting. In addition, he has led on numerous winning bid protests and protest defenses at the U.S. Government Accountability Office and U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and has successfully represented contractors in state/local bid protests throughout the country.

“Adam is a terrific and well-respected government contracts lawyer and an important addition to our litigation department as we further develop this practice nationally,” said James McGrath, chair of Seyfarth’s Litigation department. “Our construction and government contracts lawyers routinely handle some of the most complex disputes in the field. Adam is an impressive addition to our stellar team and is sure to prosper as he leverages Seyfarth’s national platform and strong D.C. presence.”

Lasky is the latest partner to join Seyfarth’s new Seattle office. Last month, the firm announced the formal launch of the office, the firm’s first in the Pacific Northwest and fifth on the West Coast. Seyfarth’s Seattle office is currently comprised of 14 lawyers, including eight partners, from a cross-section of the firm’s nationally ranked departments.

“We’re excited to welcome Adam as the newest member of our Seattle office,” said Thomas Wybenga, co-managing partner of Seyfarth’s Seattle office. “Adam has developed a fantastic practice with strong relationships in the Pacific Northwest and nationally.”

“As we strategically grow our Seattle roster to meet client demand, we knew Adam was the right fit at the right time,” said Denice Tokunaga, co-managing partner of Seyfarth’s Seattle office. “He has an outstanding track record of success and an undeniable entrepreneurial spirit.”

Lasky earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School. He received a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Washington.
