LONDON (April 4, 2022) — Seyfarth announced today the arrival of partner Sofia Bargellini to the firm’s International department. Bargellini joins Seyfarth from SZA Studio Legale where she was a partner in its Employment and Labor Law department in Milan. Joining Bargellini in her move to the firm are associates Tommaso Raco and Claudia Di Biase.

Bargellini’s Milan-based practice is focused on Italian employment law where she advises a number of high profile international businesses in complex deals and industrial relations issues, among many other employment law services. In addition, she is well-known for navigating expatriate matters for her multinational clients and regularly counsels global corporations on social insurance relations and litigation. Fluent in Italian and English, Bargellini received her Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Pisa.

“Sofia has an exciting entrepreneurial practice that serves a remarkable range of employers in Italy and across Europe,” said Pete Talibart, co-chair of Seyfarth’s International department and managing partner of the firm’s London office. “Sofia, Tommaso, and Claudia are brilliant lawyers who offer premier resources to organizations facing a myriad of international workforce issues.”

Seyfarth's International Employment Law practice is the world’s largest specialist practice of its kind, with experience covering more than 170 countries, acting for some of the world’s largest multinational companies on a global, regional, and local basis.

“As the global economy becomes increasingly more connected, the demand for international employment legal services has amplified,” said Darren Perry, co-chair of Seyfarth’s International department. “Seyfarth is at the forefront of guiding large multijurisdictional employment law projects and Sofia’s team is the right addition for this time of substantial firm growth worldwide.”

Bargellini is the latest partner to join Seyfarth’s global platform. Earlier this year, the firm added Kamran Mirrafati (Los Angeles), Paul Haswell (Hong Kong), Meghan Douris (Seattle), Ashley Sherwood (Seattle), Jamie Rich (San Francisco), Jacob Cherry (New York), Seth Liebenstein (New York), and Christy Kiely (Washington, DC).
