As you may be aware, the California Fast Food Workers Bill, which recently cleared the Assembly Labor Committee, looks to fundamentally change the fast food franchise industry by, among other things, making franchisors directly responsible for the labor law violations of their franchisees. Given the significance of a bill like this, we are reconvening our group of restaurant clients for this discussion.

Moderated by Seyfarth real estate partners Eric Greenberg, Kevin Woolf, and co-chair of the Firm’s Franchise & Distribution group, John Skelton, this roundtable will, with your active participation, address key issues, including:

Practical considerations for franchisors potentially covered by the bill
How this affects the franchisor/franchisee relationship
Update on other states considering similar steps
What worker protection measures like this mean for the future
