About the Program

The Supreme Court has handed down its opinion in Groff v. DeJoy, upending the standard for determining when a religious accommodation constitutes an “undue hardship” for an employer. The long-awaited decision has immediate implications for employers across the nation in terms of how employers process employees’ religious accommodation requests and how to defend religious accommodation litigation.

Join our experts Lynn Kappelman, Dawn Solowey, and Darien Harris for a discussion of the case and decision, including how this SCOTUS opinion changes the employment landscape.

Topics include:

  • Background on the claims at issue
  • The key elements of the Court’s decision
  • Practical guidance for employers on how to comply with the decision
