Seyfarth’s own William B. Hill Jr. served as the keynote speaker last week at Washington & Lee University, (his alma mater) as they celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Black Ball, and the Student Association for Black Unity (SABU), which Hill was a founding member of.

SABU was created in 1971 by fifteen students who sought to unify the African American community at Washington & Lee, and create a space to discuss political, social, and cultural needs for African American students. Fifty years later, SABU still remains a strong force for advocacy and equity on campus.
