About the Program

Whether you are a new parent or seasoned one, have aging parents near or far, or are still working on working from home with the rest of your family tele-working and schooling, there are challenges. During this webinar we discuss returning to work after baby, and in general, managing your personal and professional obligations and demands with growing families, aging parents, billable hours and business development demands, and the importance of organization, and self-care.

Suzanne L. Martin

Ms. Martin started her legal career at a national labor and employment boutique in Irvine, California representing management. She relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2003, and in January 2010, was one of three shareholders that opened the Las Vegas office of Ogletree Deakins. She is barred in both Nevada and California, and remains active in California.

The scope of Ms. Martin’s employment law practice is wide ranging. She provides advice and counsel, drafts employment and restrictive covenant agreements, handbooks/policies/procedures/protocols, conducts investigations, training, and represents employers before various administrative agencies (e.g., Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Nevada Equal Rights Commission, Department of Labor, Nevada Labor Commissioner), in arbitration, and individual and class action civil litigation in Nevada and California state and federal courts. Her practice encompasses workplace discrimination and harassment (e.g., race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, age, national origin, etc.); employee discipline and termination; Family and Medical Leave Act; Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act; state and federal wage and hour issues; trade secrets and restrictive covenants; and background and drug testing protocols.

Ms. Martin is a member of the firm’s Wage and Hour Practice Group, Diversity and Inclusion Practice Group, and Trial Practice Group.
