More About Alex
Alex represents employers in complex wage and hour disputes, including class and collective actions, PAGA representative actions, and multijurisdictional cases involving federal and state wage and hour laws. He defends high-exposure claims in federal and state courts across the country, with a focus on developing strategy early and managing risk as the case evolves.
Alex litigates claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage and hour laws nationwide. He has particular depth in California wage and hour matters. His California work often involves PAGA, arbitration, standing, and manageability issues. He also works on matters that require coordination across forums, parallel proceedings, and competing class or collective definitions.
Throughout the litigation lifecycle, Alex is actively engaged. He works on early case assessment, arbitration strategy, class certification and decertification, discovery, dispositive motions, appeals, and resolution. He has played a key role in defending complex, multiplaintiff actions and government investigations, working with senior trial counsel and in-house legal teams on high-stakes disputes.
Alex also counsels employers on wage and hour compliance. His counseling work includes pay practices and classification audits, arbitration program design, and operational issues that can create litigation risk. He helps clients identify exposure early, before disputes arise or risk escalates.
A data-driven approach informs both his litigation and counseling work. Alex uses data analytics and artificial intelligence to evaluate employment data, test litigation theories, and assess exposure. His work helps clients understand what is driving risk and make clearer decisions from intake through resolution.
