More About Giselle

Giselle defends against single-plaintiff litigation for private sector corporations and public sector governmental entities. In California's business climate, these types of lawsuits are nearly inescapable. Giselle defends clients through trial if necessary, by efficiently providing employment litigation services.

Giselle has been a litigator for 10 years with trial and arbitration experience, having practiced in state and federal court. She has also been retained to defend clients from the inception of cases to trial counsel. When Giselle represents clients, she always thinks steps ahead to be most effective and efficient. She avoids unnecessary discovery disputes, strategically positions cases for early settlement, and prepares for early adjudication through summary judgment or adjudication. Giselle's trial experience allows her to focus on the evidence that matters most, without being overwhelmed with the minutia of employment litigation.

In the course of her career, Giselle has successfully litigated cases and achieved early adjudication at the pleading stage and by way of summary judgment; she has also tried cases. This makes her unique in that she can hone in on strengths and weaknesses of cases through her experience of presenting evidence to juries. She understands her audience, whether a judge or jury. Giselle also has a good sense in advising clients on the pitfalls of taking cases to trial. Because of the nature of her clients, she frequently reports directly to executives on high-exposure and newsworthy matters.

In both the public and private sector, Giselle is a trusted advisor to her clients. She is well-versed in many industries—including education, government, health care, construction, and retail. She has great case management skills and frequently handles matters where clients need exclusive trial counsel, or early adjudication of a case through dispositive motions.

Giselle most enjoys developing client relationships alongside her talented Seyfarth colleagues. She is proud to provide legal services in a collaborative effort, which leads to personalized service that benefits clients.
