Heather’s wide-ranging litigation background provides her with unique insight into the challenges that employers encounter. When counseling clients, she draws from her experience investigating discrimination and harassment claims on behalf of the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors.

Clients turn to Heather for her depth of litigation experience and strategic approach to resolving complex employment disputes. While defending a national company in a wage and hour class action, she secured dismissal of an Unfair Competition Law claim through early motion practice, resulting in a reduction of the class period and narrowing the scope of potential exposure. Heather also successfully resolved a single-plaintiff discrimination and wage and hour lawsuit before the initial case management conference after identifying and discussing defects in the plaintiff's claims with opposing counsel.

In another matter, Heather obtained summary judgment on claims for intentional infliction of emotional distress and violations of the Unruh Civil Rights Act, substantially narrowing the case before trial. She also served as a member of the trial team that secured a complete defense verdict for a national retailer, prevailing on the remaining defamation claim and obtaining judgment in the client's favor on all claims asserted in the action.
