More About Josh

US federal income tax laws can present taxpayers with numerous complex challenges while also offering rewarding opportunities to those who plan strategically. Josh assists clients in navigating the difficult and constantly changing tax laws to structure transactions efficiently and with careful consideration of their own unique business objectives.

Josh has significant experience counseling corporate, partnership, and REIT clients in a wide range of US federal income tax law matters, including advising on mergers and acquisitions, public and private equity and debt offerings (including IPOs), joint ventures, like kind exchanges, and qualified opportunity funds.

Josh began his practice as a corporate transactional attorney before transitioning his practice to focus on taxation. This experience assists him in understanding and prioritizing his clients’ business objectives. He enjoys understanding clients’ businesses, operations, and goals—and how the US federal income tax laws relate to each in unique ways.

Before joining Seyfarth, Josh was a law clerk for the Honorable Maurice B. Foley at the United States Tax Court in Washington, DC.
