While attending Washington and Lee University for her undergraduate degree, Katie worked as a legal assistant at a small residential real estate firm in Raleigh, where she managed payoff requests and coordinated communications among sellers, lenders, and attorneys. During law school, Katie externed at a real estate investment trust company, where she gained valuable experience drafting leasing documents, attending management meetings, and observing the practice of real estate law from an in-house perspective. While in law school, she also served as online editor to the Wake Forest Law Review, which helped refine her editorial judgment, enhance her legal writing skills, and develop a keen eye for precision and clarity in complex legal documents.
Before joining Seyfarth as a senior fellow, Katie served as a summer associate in the Real Estate department. She has passed the New York bar exam and is currently awaiting admission.
