When working with clients, Ken approaches their legal matters from all angles. He draws on his insider perspective as a former NASA attorney to assist clients with high-stakes government contracts litigation as well as counseling matters.
Ken helps clients with a wide range of issues, including bid protests, contract disputes, subcontract negotiation and teaming agreements, domestic sourcing restrictions, small business contracting, GSA schedule, debarment and suspension, and other compliance issues. Ken regularly appears before the GAO, Court of Federal Claims, Boards of Contract appeals, and suspension and debarment officials.

- Obtained favorable outcome prediction ADR at GAO in protest of Smithsonian Institution’s award, resulting in payment of attorneys’ fees, reevaluation, and eventual award.
- Obtained favorable outcome prediction ADR at GAO in protest of US Army Corps of Engineers’ selection of a competitor for architect-engineer negotiations, resulting in payment of legal fees for the client.
- Obtained favorable settlement of performance dispute involving environmental remediation contract with US Army Corps of Engineers, through mediation at Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals.
- Prepared terms of a major subcontract to resolve the prospect of continued litigation between two medical waste disposal firms.
- Advised clients during acquisitions of companies in industries including government IT solutions, cybersecurity, professional consulting, and health care.
- Assisted client with negotiating terms of Defense Production Act award for expansion of domestic industrial capacity.
- Drafted procurement legislation on behalf of construction and engineering clients that was introduced in both the House and Senate.
