Rebecca spent the last ten years practicing in Singapore and has extensive experience across the Asia Pacific region, including Singapore, Malaysia, Greater China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, and India. Her experience encompasses the complex and varied range of employment law as well as workplace health and safety law issues. Rebecca has also regularly advised on employee incentives and is frequently sought after by major employers across the globe to structure and create compliant employment solutions, including senior executive and employee incentive arrangements, having designed bespoke incentive plans for several tech startups and other multinational companies that align with company objectives.

- Advising a global financial technology company on investigations in relation to highly sensitive, systemic misconduct allegations involving its senior employees.
- Advising a California headquartered life sciences company on investigations in relation to allegations of bullying, harassment, and discrimination. The investigations entailed conducting interviews with employees in India, Malaysia, PRC, and the United States.
Workplace Health & Safety
- Handling a crisis management instruction arising from a fatality at a power plant in Surabaya, including conducting an internal workplace health and safety investigation and advising on anticipated criminal prosecution.
- Advising an Australia-headquartered global company on psychosocial health and safety compliance reviews and incident response across Asia Pacific.
Employment Solutions/Transactional Issues
- Advising an investment company listed on NZX/ASX on its proposed investment in and majority acquisition of a business segment of one of the largest telecommunications companies. This involved analysis and consideration of the full spectrum of employment, pensions, and incentives issues that arise in the course of employee transfers and reorganisations and encompassed performing buy-side due diligence review, coordinating multijurisdictional advice, drafting and reviewing appropriate transactional documents relating to the employees, as well as consideration of the application of TUPE regulations and its equivalent across a number of jurisdictions globally, including Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Greece, South Africa, and the United States.
- Advising a global energy company on a major outsourcing project that involves the transition of personnel in Malaysia and the Philippines, including advising on the key contractual documentation that deals with the transition and exit of relevant services personnel.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution
- Advising a US-headquartered financial services company on an unfair dismissal claim brought before the Singapore courts in respect of dismissal relating to alleged misconduct and discrimination issues.
- Advising an international engineering and construction company on an unfair dismissal claim in Singapore.

- Advising a US-headquartered multinational conglomerate on the implementation of its share incentive arrangements globally.
- Advising a tech startup backed by Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, on the design and implementation of bespoke incentive arrangements.
