Shamim advises institutional investors, including public and private pension funds, universities, family offices, and sovereign wealth funds, in structuring and negotiating investments in private equity funds, credit platforms, and real estate strategies. Shamim also counsels institutional investors and sponsors on direct private equity investments, co-investments, and joint ventures.
In addition to his work with institutional investors, Shamim represents emerging growth and lower middle-market companies in debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures. He regularly guides clients through critical phases of growth, including transitions from closely held businesses to investor-backed market leaders.
Shamim’s approach combines technical proficiency with practical legal insight, enabling clients to navigate complex investment structures and achieve strategic objectives. His experience spans domestic and cross-border transactions, and he is adept at managing negotiations involving multiple stakeholders and jurisdictions.
