Biography
Ms. Tyman is an associate with Seyfarth Shaw LLP representing employers in the area of labor and employment law. Ms. Tyman litigates class action, multi-plaintiff and single plaintiff matters involving all aspects of employment litigation, including discrimination, workplace harassment and retaliation claims arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and numerous related state laws. Ms. Tyman has successfully litigated cases in federal and state courts and agencies in Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Pennsylvania.
In addition, Ms. Tyman has prepared comments on proposed labor & employment legislation and regulations pending before the United States Senate, United States House of Representatives, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Ms. Tyman is the chair of the Chicago Diversity Action Team, a member of the Associate Mentoring Committee, and actively participates in pro bono and other charitable activities
