American Lawyer Quotes Lorie Almon on AI’s Impact on Associate Roles

The American Lawyer (Law.com) quoted Seyfarth chair and managing partner Lorie Almon in its January 13 article, “Are Associates Protected, For Now, from AI Job Cuts?” on the continued importance of developing junior attorneys despite advances in artificial intelligence.

Almon noted: “You still need to create the next generation of people who have judgment and can earn trust and discern whether someone’s telling the truth, present to a judge or jury, and earn client trust. So I certainly don’t see AI eliminating the need for junior attorneys because junior attorneys are how you make senior attorneys.”
