The American Lawyer prominently quoted Seyfarth chair-elect Lorie in a series of articles looking at the future of the legal sector through industry leaders. In “What's Keeping Law Firm Leaders Up at Night?” (January 13), Almon discussed how inflation and the global economy; the war in Ukraine; and the lingering effects of the pandemic, all are wildly unpredictable but will influence a law firm’s trajectory and profits this year. In its January 17 article, “Concerns Over Layoffs, Expenses, Office Policies Loom Over 2023 Outlook,” Almon said law firms will have to be true partners with their clients in every sense of the word, and that providing clients with more predictability using alternative pricing will be critical in 2023. On February 6, Almon raised the question of “how do we keep people engaged and visible?” and other thoughtful concerns in an article looking at a four-generation workplace, “Generational Tensions Rise as Law Firms Move to Post-Pandemic Mode.”
