SHRM quoted Erin Dougherty Foley in its article, “‘Laws, Policies Can Counter Weight Discrimination at Work,” on May 9. Foley said health issues that cause or contribute to obesity could be considered a protected health condition under the Family and Medical Leave Act or the Americans with Disabilities Act.
