Kathryn Weaver, international employment lawyer in Seyfarth’s Hong Kong office, will present an In-House Community webinar titled, “ChatGPT Policies for the Workplace: should you have one, and if so, what should it contain?” on 30 August 2023.

At this webinar, Kathryn will discuss the significance of implementing clear and comprehensive policies regarding the usage of AI language models like ChatGPT in a workplace. The webinar will cover the following topics:

  • Is it safest/easiest simply to ban the use of generative AI/ChatGPT from the workplace?
  • If you did ban it, what would you be missing out on? Would you lose a competitive edge?
  • What are the risks to a company if it does not have a generative AI/ChatGPT policy in place? E.g., breach of confidentiality obligations, data protection risks, liability issues, inaccurate or discriminatory data being relied upon.
  • When drafting a generative AI/ChatGPT policy, what should you include? We will talk through the key components of such a policy, using real examples from policies we have recently drafted for clients.
