Lisa Damon and Jean Wilson, attorneys in Seyfarth's Labor & Employment department, will participate as panelists for a course entitled “Working Nine to Five – Well, Not Really” on October 27, 2021. The session is part of the 2021 Annual Conference of the Council of Chief Judges of State Courts of Appeal.

COVID-19 triggered a dramatic change in traditional court operations to ensure continued access to justice, which resulted in adjustments by both the employer and employee.  This session will explore the transformed workplace and what this means for employment practices and policies.  Time management, accountability, privacy, court culture, lawful candidate screening, and hiring/firing will all be examined.  An update on the not-so-obvious employment law “gotchas” and “hot” topics will be included.
