On Monday, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker revealed the detailed ‘roadmap’ for reopening Massachusetts. As detailed in our May 18th update, “Governor Baker Announces Details of Massachusetts Reopening Plan”, for each of the three mondays during Phase 1 (May 18, May 25, and June 1), additional industries may join "essential businesses" in reopening, subject to mandatory safety guidelines. Among those types of businesses permitted to reopen during Phase 1 are office spaces, laboratories, construction and manufacturing. Businesses that are permitted to re-open, as well as essential business that have been able to remain open, are expected to comply with safety standards, as well industry-specific rules.

In this webinar, members of Seyfarth Shaw’s Boston office, Robert Fisher, Daniel Klein, and Chrisopher Kelleher, provide practical advice for those reopening as part of Phase 1, including:

  • Mandatory safety requirements for all employers.
  • Industry-specific requirements.
  • Compliance requirements and certifications.
  • Guidance for retailers.
