Rob Whitman quoted by Law360, “2nd Circ.'s Fox, Hearst Rulings Won't Kill Intern Wage Suits”

Rob Whitman was quoted in a July 2 story in Law360 on the Second Circuit's rulings in intern wage cases against the Hearst Corp. and Fox Entertainment Group Inc. Whitman said the court did not slam the door entirely on the possibility of a successful claim by an intern that he or she was misclassified and should have been considered an employee. He went on to say that, however, the court made clear that conditional and class certification in these cases will be very difficult for plaintiffs, so the prospect of litigation on a class or collective basis has gotten much less likely.
