Seyfarth Shaw LLP is proud to sponsor the HNBA Corporate Counsel Conference 2026 (CCC2026), hosted by the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA). This year’s conference theme, “Navigating the Future: AI, Technology, and the Law,” brings together corporate counsel, law firm attorneys, and industry leaders from across the country to discuss emerging legal issues and the growing impact of technology and artificial intelligence on the legal profession.

Three Seyfarth attorneys will participate as speakers during Thursday’s programming:

  • Joseph Lutz, IP Senior Counsel in Seyfarth’s Los Angeles office, will speak during the CCC2026 Opening Plenary, “AI and the Future of Law: Harnessing Power, Mitigating Risk, and Advancing Business Impact.” The session will explore how artificial intelligence is transforming the practice of law—from automating tasks once thought irreplaceable to reshaping how clients evaluate legal services—while addressing how legal professionals can responsibly harness generative and agentic AI.

  • Owen Wolfe, a partner in Seyfarth’s New York office, will present on “Guiding Attorneys to Address Their Clients’ AI Implementation Challenges.” The program will focus on how attorneys can serve as strategic advisors as clients move from AI experimentation to enterprise adoption, including identifying opportunities and potential risks, assessing organizational readiness, and determining when specialized technical expertise may be required.

  • Grayson Moronta, an associate in Seyfarth’s Atlanta office, will speak on “ADA & FMLA Under Fire: Winning Strategies in Court and ADR.” The session will highlight practical tactics for defending accommodation and leave-related claims, including issues involving long COVID, remote work, and mental health accommodations, while exploring how courts and alternative dispute resolution forums are addressing these evolving challenges.

In addition, Mia Batista, HNBA National Vice President of Programs – Su Futuro, plays an important role in shaping the organization’s national programming and is managing the Corporate Connections Program, which fosters relationship-building and collaboration between in-house counsel and law firm attorneys.

The HNBA Corporate Counsel Conference is one of the organization’s flagship events, featuring CLE programming, networking opportunities, and discussions focused on the most pressing issues facing corporate counsel and the broader legal community.
