More About Owen

Litigation in the US has grown increasingly complex, whether it takes place in federal or state court, before an arbitrator, or in other forums, and whether you are an individual or a large corporation. Among other things, technology and the global economy have changed many aspects of litigation, including discovery. Owen helps clients avoid litigation altogether—or, when litigation is unavoidable, navigate the challenges posed by all aspects of modern litigation in a wide variety of forums.

Owen has represented clients ranging from individuals, to government entities, to some of the largest corporations in the world. In all cases, he dives deep to understand his clients' businesses and industries to help advise them on how best to navigate challenging litigation. Coming of age during the rise of the internet and new technologies has also helped Owen marry traditional litigation techniques and strategies to those new technologies in order to benefit his clients.

Over the course of his career, Owen has represented banks, consulting firms, real estate developers, high net-worth individuals, automakers, and many more. In each case, he makes it his mission to learn the ins and outs of his clients' businesses and industries so that he can advise them on how best to achieve an outcome that lines up with their business objectives. Owen also uses his familiarity with technology to benefit his clients, whether it is discovering information about their adversaries; dealing with technology-oriented discovery matters involving text messages, social media, and other web platforms; or simply using technology to deliver work product more efficiently.

Owen understands that even seemingly small steps can make a crucial difference in litigation. These steps can include using obscure government databases online to uncover critical information disclosed by adversaries, or using technology to include visuals in court filings that clearly lay out critical information for the judge. It is often these small steps that create a critical edge in litigation and reduce costs to Owen's clients.

Owen enjoys working alongside the highly experienced litigation attorneys at Seyfarth, who are always looking to innovate, as they help their clients navigate the ever-changing challenges posed by modern litigation.
