Seyfarth Named as Finalist in Three Categories for Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards
Seyfarth has been shortlisted in three categories for the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers North America 2025 awards, underscoring the firm’s leadership in legal innovation, client service, and impact.
The firm’s finalist recognitions include:
- Innovation in AI strategy: “SEYmultaneous Advancement”
SEYmultaneous Advancement is Seyfarth’s firmwide approach to embedding innovation into the DNA of its people strategy. The goal of the initiative is to avoid siloed innovation and instead foster a culture where learning happens in all directions—across titles, practice areas, and departments. Through targeted programs, cultural investments, and cross-functional engagement, Seyfarth is redefining how legal teams collaborate, build skills, adapt, and deliver value in a rapidly evolving legal landscape.
- Innovation in knowledge & data: “Harnessing Data for Strategic Insights”
SEYscraper,an AI-powered litigation intelligence tool born from Seyfarth’s inaugural SEYence Fair, analyzes thousands of California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) settlements. In a seven-month pilot, SEYscraper collected nearly 7,000 settlements, vastly expanding the dataset available to attorneys and giving clients a strategic edge in risk assessment, negotiations, and expectation-setting through data-backed insights.
- Innovative lawyers in unlocking capital: “Opportunity for Opportunity Zones”
Seyfarth’s Opportunity Zone (OZ) practice developed flexible structures for Qualified Opportunity Funds, integrating tax, real estate, and corporate law. This approach positions OZs as a framework for inclusive economic development, channeling private capital into underserved communities to support housing, infrastructure, and job creation.
The Financial Times Innovative Lawyers North America report and awards celebrate firms and individuals driving transformation in the legal industry through bold, creative thinking. Winners will be announced on December 8.
