The National Law Journal Names Seyfarth’s Ameena Majid and Amanda Sonneborn Rising Stars

CHICAGO (July 9, 2013) — Seyfarth Shaw LLP announced today that Chicago office partners Ameena Majid and Amanda Sonneborn were named “Chicago Rising Stars” by the National Law Journal, honoring 40 promising attorneys under the age of 40 who have wielded influence in their practice areas in the Chicago area and beyond.

Ameena Majid is a partner in the firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation department and co-chairs Seyfarth’s executive compensation practice group. She advises Fortune 100 companies and large private employers on day-to-day strategic and operational employee benefit and executive compensation matters, evolving and adapting to the ebb and flow of a company’s life cycle.  She also regularly advises fiduciary committees who oversee the investment and administration of retirement plans. 

Amanda Sonneborn, a partner in Seyfarth’s Labor & Employment department, developed a unique dual specialty as a national authority and firm go-to for issues relating to Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) litigation and traditional labor law.
