Victoria Lipnic's nomination to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) was featured in the November 4, 2009 Blog of the Legal Times (BLT) posting, "Seyfarth Shaw Lawyer Picked for EEOC." According to the article, President Obama nominated Vicki, of counsel in Seyfarth Shaw's Washington, D.C. office, to the EEOC on November 3, 2009. The article noted that prior to her role with Seyfarth Shaw, Vicki served as assistant secretary of labor for employment standards from 2002 until this year, overseeing wage and hour standards and nondiscrimination programs for government contractors. The article also noted that Vicki previously worked as a Republican counsel to the House Education and Labor Committee and as an in-house counsel to the U.S. Postal Service.
