About the Program
False Claims Act risk increasingly extends across legal, compliance, operational, and business functions. Evolving theories of liability, greater scrutiny of compliance representations, and the use of new technologies are adding to that exposure.
In a moderated panel discussion, Seyfarth's False Claims, Whistleblower & Internal Investigations team will examine the most significant developments from 2026, how they are affecting investigations and compliance decisions, and what organizations should review for 2027.
Moderated by practice co-chair Chris Robertson, the webinar brings together fellow practice co-chair Teddie Arnold, former federal prosecutor Jennifer Serafyn, and healthcare litigator Torrey Young. Seyfarth partners will discuss recent enforcement activity, whistleblower developments, government investigations, and the risks legal and compliance leaders should be watching in the year ahead.
Questions for the Conversation:
- Which DOJ policy changes, settlements, and court decisions from 2026 are most likely to affect FCA enforcement going forward?
- Where is DOJ focusing its enforcement resources today, and what trends in whistleblower activity and the newly announced National Fraud Division should companies be watching?
- What healthcare fraud and enforcement developments should providers, life sciences companies, and other healthcare stakeholders be paying attention to as they assess FCA risk?
- How are AI, cybersecurity, compliance certifications, and other emerging theories of liability influencing FCA investigations and enforcement?
- As organizations prepare for 2027, what enforcement developments and unresolved legal questions, including constitutional challenges to the FCA, should be highest on their watch list?
Designed for senior legal, compliance, investigations, audit, and business leaders responsible for government enforcement and related risk.
