Elizabeth helps her clients navigate the intricacies of employment law. She draws on her attention to detail and compassion when handling her clients’ sensitive matters.
Elizabeth’s experience as a federal law clerk provides her with unique insight into litigating single-plaintiff and bet-the-company lawsuits. She defends employers in lawsuits alleging violations of federal and state employment discrimination statutes, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ADA, ADEA, and FMLA, as well as against claims of sexual harassment, hostile work environment, and retaliation. She litigates cases in state and federal court, and handles administrative matters before the EEOC and other agencies.
In addition to her litigation practice, Elizabeth provides thoughtful counsel to employers on best practices for an array of inclusion and belonging matters. Employers look to Elizabeth to proactively identify potential risks and develop practical solutions to create an inclusive workplace environment that considers the company’s specific business practices, risk tolerance, and company culture. Elizabeth also leads investigations of sensitive employee complaints and advises clients about implementing post-investigation training and infrastructure changes to mitigate future risk.
Elizabeth enjoys her practice at Seyfarth, where she works collaboratively with her colleagues to develop comprehensive and effective strategies to address her clients’ specific litigation and counseling needs.
