Cameron Smith Named One of the Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40

Seyfarth Shaw’s Cameron Smith, member of the firm’s Labor and Employment department in New York, was selected as one of the Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40 – Class of 2015 by the National LGBT Bar Association. The Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40 - Class of 2015 will be recognized at a special awards luncheon on Thursday, August 6, 2015 in conjunction with the 2015 Lavender Law Conference & Career Fair.

Each year, the LGBT Bar recognizes 40 LGBT legal professionals (practicing lawyers, law professors, corporate counsel, members of the judiciary, politicians, etc.) under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their field and have demonstrated a profound commitment to LGBT equality.

Smith’s practice focuses on representing management in complex employment litigation and arbitration, and includes the defense of class, collective, and multi-plaintiff actions arising under the ADEA, Title VII, FLSA, ADA, and all manner of state and local statutes affecting employers. He has worked in-house for a global financial services company and regularly counsels clients about the various laws affecting the employment relationship, including executive compensation agreements, protecting confidential business information, severance agreements, and progressive discipline of employees.

The National LGBT Bar Association is a national association of lawyers, judges and other legal professionals, law students, activists and affiliated lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender legal organizations.
