Seyfarth Named a Finalist in Three Categories of the 2026 Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards
Financial Times has selected Seyfarth as a finalist in three categories for its 2026 Innovative Lawyers Awards North America, underscoring the firm's commitment to innovation and the development of solutions that help clients stay ahead in a legal market shaped by constant change.
The firm’s finalist recognitions include:
- People & Skills: Partnerships with Harvard Law School and Finding Mastery for Leadership Development
Under the leadership of Chair and Managing Partner Lorie Almon, Seyfarth has made two flagship investments in high performance and leadership development. These include a custom Harvard Law School program focused on innovation, client-centricity, and adaptive leadership, as well as a partnership with Finding Mastery that has trained more than 2,000 attorneys and business professionals in resilience, mindset, and high-performance skills.
- Practice of Law: Wage & Hour Assessment Report Solution
Seyfarth developed the Wage & Hour Assessment Report Solution, an AI-driven compliance assessment tool tailored to single-unit and small-footprint operators. Developed by partners Anthony Califano and Kevin Young, senior associate Alex Simon, and the Seyfarth Labs team, the solution streamlines the full assessment life cycle, enabling Seyfarth's wage and hour attorneys to deliver deep-bench capabilities at a competitive, predictable price point previously out of reach for these businesses.
- Intrapreneur: Zeynep Ersin
As Chief Innovation & Strategic Design Officer, Zeynep Ersin leads Seyfarth's firmwide AI transformation strategy. She has built the systems that enable Seyfarth to stay ahead of accelerating technological change, including the recent implementation of an AI tracking mechanism within the firm's timekeeping platform that connects AI adoption to actual client work rather than relying on activity metrics alone.
These recognitions build on Seyfarth's long track record of success in the prestigious awards program, including a 2025 win in the "Knowledge & Data" category for its AI-powered litigation intelligence tool, SEYscraper.
The Financial Times Innovative Lawyers North America Awards recognize lawyers and organizations using creativity, influence, and problem-solving to help clients achieve agile and sustainable outcomes.
Winners will be announced on December 7, 2026.
